NXT 446 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: You had 3.5 matches and many future matchups that can transpire due to this episode.

Episode tidbits

→The new and improved, 4 members Undisputed ERA came out to show off all their championships.  Roderick Strong said he felt Pete Dunne would turn on him if they won the tag titles because he cares more about the UK Championship more than anything.  Since he could not trust Dunne, he chose to go with the proven Brotherhood.

→Next Week:  Candice LeRae VS Bianca Belair; TM61 VS Street Profits; Roderick Strong VS  Pete Dunne

→Heavy Machinery called out the War Raiders.

→Dakota Kai has been traumatized by her experiences with Shayna Baszler.

→Kona Reeves debuts with a new image next week.

Match 1: North American Champion Adam Cole survives a ready Oney Lorcan (Match Grade: C++)

The crowd was heavy pro-Lorcan.  Lorcan fed off the energy of the crowd and punished the injured ribs of Adam Cole.  Undisputed ERA ran out to assist Cole and gave Cole the win.  ERA then went on to jump Lorcan.  Danny Burch tried to save Lorcan, but the numbers game was too much.

Match 2: Heavy Machinery gets another win over Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli (Match Grade: C++)

Those Heavy guys played to the crowd well.  Tino and Moss started to control the match until a miscue between the two caused Tino to leave Moss high and dry in the ring.

Match 3: Jonny Gargano was ready to take on Aleister Black for the NXT Championship, but Ciampa attacked him from behind (Match Grade: B)

Not truly a match, but truly was a pivotal episode point.  Ciampa surprised attacked meant that Gargano had to suffer through much beating which ended with him going through tables.

Aleister  Black started to call out Ciampa, but SAnitY came out and interrupted him.  Black asked Eric Young if he wanted a title fight.

Match 4: NXT Champion retained his title against Eric Young (Match Grade: C++)

Black looked spry in this match.  Black dominated the match until the numbers game became a factor.  Despite the interference, Black prevailed.  Black ended up kicking all 3 guys of SAnitY in the face to end the show!

NXT 445 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: You had 4 matches and several in-ring, solo NXT debuts to watch.  This episode will show you that NXT still has a deep talent pool despite the many NXT Superstars that were called up to RAW and SmackDown Live.  You should definitely watch this episode in its entirety.

Episode tidbits

→Candice LeRae & Johnny Gargano comes to the ring to thank the NXT Universe for sticking with them.  Candice said she was going to wrestle Zelina Vega tonight, and Johnny said he will be the first challenger of Aleister Black for the NXT Championship.

→Shayna Baszler let the women's locker room know that no one can stop here, so get in line or get out.

→UK Champion Pete Dunne wants to rip off the head of Roderick Strong for his betrayal at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

→An interview with the Undisputed ERA, with new member Roderick Strong, will take place next week.

→NXT Champion Aleister Black versus Johnny Gargano seems likely next week.  Black seemingly wants a match next week after Gargano called him out twice.

Match 1: Ricochet has an impressive win over Fabian Aichner (Match Grade: C++)

If you want many high flying maneuvers, then watch this match.  Both guys gave you your money's worth.  Ricochet finished the match looking like an Olympic diver!

Match 2: War Raiders dominates The Metro Brothers (Match Grade: C++)

War Raiders do strength, tag team fighting well.  The Metro Brothers were truly just warmup opponents for their next match.

Match 3: Lars Sullivan survived Killian Dain in a No Disqualification Match (Match Grade: C++)

Both of these guys are big.  Both of these guys used high-risk maneuvers against each other.  No disqualification meant the match would eventually involve weapons...to the delight of the NXT Universe.

Match 4: Candice LeRae gets a submission victory over Zelina Vega (Match Grade: C++)

This match did not go long before Andrade "Cien" Almas and Johnny Gargano was both ringside.  Many positives in this match.  You still see many upsides in the women's division.

NXT 444 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: You had 2 matches and a recap of an excellent NXT Takeover: New Orleans.  Also, because this was the episode after Wrestlemania, you were shown who was called up to RAW and SmackDown Live.

Episode tidbits

→NXT 443 is NXT Takeover: New Orleans, which is a MUST WATCH!  The recap from this event was shown throughout this episode.  Also, exclusive footage from the aftermath of the event was shown.

→Authors of Pain went to RAW and cut ties with Paul Ellering after their debut match.

→Ember Moon and No Way Jose also went to RAW.  Team Iconic went to SmackDown Live as "The IIconics."

→Lars Sullivan versus Kilian Dain next week.

Match 1: Kairi Sane survived against a gamed Lacey Evans. (Match Grade: C+)

Evans transition to a heel is complete.  Her in-ring mannerisms are excellent for the job.  The future of the women's division is safe and secure if these two ladies are true representatives of the industry.  Sane took a lot of damage before getting a win.

Match 2: No contest called between Heavy Machinery versus Tito Sabatelli & Riddick Moss thanks to the interference of a new tag team to NXT (Match Grade: C++)

Heavy Machinery was giving the crowd what they wanted, as usual, and you though this match would have a predictable end.  Out of nowhere a team called "War Raiders" came and destroyed both teams while the crowd chanted "War Machine."

NXT 442 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: You had 3 matches which included the conclusion of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (DRTTC).  All in all, a necessary episode to watch for the final pieces of the NXT Takeover: New Orleans puzzle to be completed.

Episode tidbits

→Bobby Fish, of the Undisputed ERA, is injured and is not cleared to defend the tag titles at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

→Lacey Evans threw shade towards all the ladies of NXT.  She stated that she plans on taking the spot of Kairi Sane.  Because of that revelation, Kairi Sane versus Lacey Evans next week.

Match 1: DRTTC Finals: Double disqualification for Roderick Strong, UK Champion Pete Dunne and the Authors of Pain due to outside interference from Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly of the Undisputed ERA. (Match Grade: C++)

This match was slowly building up to be a must watch match...until Undisputed ERA interfered.  General Manager William Regal stated that ERA will have to face both teams of the DRTTC Finals at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.  The winner of that match will be tag champions and the winner of the DRTTC.

Match 2: Vanessa Borne comes up short against Kairi Sane (Match Grade: C+)

Borne came to fight.  She has shown substantial in ring growth.  Sane had to dig into her bag of techniques to win this one.

Match 3: The matchup between Lars Sullivan and Killian Dain ended up being a stare down of all 6 men that will compete in a ladder match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans for the NXT North American Championship (Match Grade: C+)

Lars and Dain tried to our power and overpower each other the entire match.  While both men were down, all competitors for the NXT North American Championship match filled the ring and did a stare down.

NXT 441 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: You had 3 matches and the conclusion of Round 2 of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (DRTTC).  All in all, a solid episode to watch for 2 surprise talents getting showcased at NXT Takeover New Orleans.

Episode tidbits

→Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (DRTTC) third round (finals) starts next week.  The winner of the tournament gets a tag team title shot at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

→Tommaso Ciampa versus Johnny Gargano in an unsanctioned match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.  If Ciampa wins, Johnny is banished from NXT forever.  If Johnny wins, he gets his job back with NXT.

→Dakota Kai was coming out for her match, but NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas attacked Aleister Black outside the arena.  Cien fought Aleister Black all the way to the ring and left him laying there hurting.

→Lars Sullivan versus Killian Dain next week.

→General Manager William Regal announced the addition of an NXT North American Championship title to be introduced at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.  EC3 comes out immediately and said he should be the inaugural champion.  Regal stated that a competition between EC3 and 5 other people will happen at Takeover...and that match will be a ladder match!  The competitors will be EC3, Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Lars Sullivan, Killian Dain & never before seen in NXT - Ricochet.

Match 1: DRTTC Round 2: Street Profits suffer their second tag team lost to the team that beat them the first time - Authors of Pain (Match Grade: C+)

The Street Profits were actually doing well but lost their focus dealing with Paul Ellering.

Match 2: John Silver should have called in sick against Lars Sullivan (Match Grade: C+)

This match was just a reminder of how strong Lars is more than it was a match.  Dominant win for Lars.

Match 3: DRTTC Round 2: SAnitY comes up short against Roderick Strong and UK Champion Pete Dunne (Match Grade: C++)

Good techniques displayed the entire match.  Pretty decent back and forth action.

Episode tidbits

→Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (DRTTC) second round (semifinals) starts next week.  The winner of the tournament gets a tag team title shot at NXT Takeover New Orleans.

→Tommaso Ciampa starts off the show and finally gets to speak despite a loud and angry crowd.  While Ciampa was ripping up Gargano signs from the crowd, he took one poster from a person that ended up being Johnny Gargano!  Security grabbed Johnny and escorted him out of the arena after he attacked Ciampa.

→Tyler Bate knee is injured so Moustache Mountain has to withdraw from the DRTTC. Roderic Stong asked to find a partner to fill the missing slot and was granted that request.

Match 1: DRTTC Round 1: Roderick Strong teams up with UK Champion Pete Dunne to beat the team of Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch (Match Grade: C++)

This was a solid match.  You had hard hits, you had big hits.  The only thing you did not have was more time.  If given more time, this match could have been an instant classic.

Match 2: NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon gets a dominant win over Aliyah (Match Grade: C+)

Aliyah has improved much but was outclassed by Moon.  Moon won while talking trash to Shayna Baszler who was on commentary.

Match 3: Adam Cole survives against Kassius Ohno (Match Grade: C++)

The size difference was not truly a factor.  Plenty of action in this match to satisfy any wrestling fan.  Adam Cole survived more than won this match.

Episode tidbits

→Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (DRTTC) first round continued this week.  The winner of the tournament gets a tag team title shot at NXT Takeover New Orleans.

→WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dune was attacked by the Undisupted ERA until Roderick Strong came out and saved him.  Dunne still did not shake Strong's hand afterward...but did show him respect.

→At the contract signing of Aleister Black vs Andrande "Cien" Almas for the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover New Orleans, only Cien's manager, Zelena Vega showed up.  After Vega insulted and even slapped Black, Aleister revealed he was not there alone.  Candice LaRae, the husband of ousted NXT superstar Johnny Gargano, comes out and beats up Vega.

→Shayna Baszler came after Dakota Kai until NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon came out and confronted Shayna.  Moon agreed to give Baszler another title shot at NXT Takeover New Orleans.  Both ladies fought until Kai gave a surprise kick to Baszler's face.

→Tommaso Ciampa once again comes out to a chorus of boos for causing the end of the Johnny Gargano's NXT career.  He continued to have a great nonverbal interaction with the crowd.

Match 1: DRTTC Round 1: SAnitY beats Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli (Match Grade: C+)

This was a solid match.  Eric Young showed why he has such a long career in the business.  The numbers game derailed Moss & Tino.

Match 2: Dakota Kai gets a quick win over Lacey Evans (Match Grade: C)

Too short of a match.  Kai got a surprise, quick roll-up win.

Match 3: DRTTC Round 1: Street Profits survives the barrage of Heavy Machinery (Match Grade: B-)

Are you not entertained?  This is why I watch wrestling.

Match 4: United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne retains his title via disqualification due to interference from the Undisputed ERA (Match Grade: B)

Watch this match to see the unique offense of Pete Dunne.  Watch this match and see some crazy offense from Adam Cole.  Simply put, what this match.
