About PlayTimeCares.com

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - "Playtime" is not just for children!  We all should look forward to having fun!

The internet has many funny, crazy, weird, intriguing, etc. things for you to pretty much fulfill whatever desire you are looking to fill.  Because of what many would consider “a weird sense of humor,” my Facebook page had many people liking and commenting on the various things I would choose to post.

To keep up with the constant friend request on Facebook, I opted to just create a page and update it on the World Wide Web so everyone could have access at my brand of humor.  Keep in mind, this brand of humor was prominently featured on TLC’s show “We Should Have Eloped!”

We should all also look forward to helping others.  That is truly the driving force behind http://www.playtimecares.com and his creator Alexander Playtime Williams.  The thrill of finding a need and meeting a need will be a fun and exciting journey.  Let Playtime show that he truly cares. Because of having a need and desire to help people http://www.playtimecares.org was created for the serious business of helping beyond a laugh.

Playtime has had an internet and reviewing presence for years now.  Playtime is a highly sought after media influencer, and does not shy away from the task at hand.
Notably, Playtime is an avid Yelp contributor.  He has been an Elite Yelper for every year he has participated with that company.

Playtime as a Yelper

A brief snippet on me:

I am a proud graduate of L. B. Landry High School (LBL) in New Orleans, LA.  Before I graduated from high school, I gave speeches around New Orleans about improving the state of the youth.  I was also privileged to be part of Sally Ann Roberts' teen show "Our Generation" several times before graduation.

My love for food was awakened when my family moved back to New Orleans, from Detroit, MI, when I was 12 years old, and I had the opportunity to try Creole and Cajun cooking.  In between my academic and athletic endeavors, I would venture to many places around New Orleans and try different dishes.  Before a successful move from high school to college, in which I graduated Valedictorian of my class, I also had the honor of being named a Coca-Cola Scholar of 1995.  It was wonderful to go the World of Coca-Cola and try the many different flavors available to sample.

I decided to take my scholastic talents to The University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM)...not knowing that they are culinary deficient on top of the stove! I was very pleased to find out they did bake many delicious treats!  Freshman 15, I proudly and gladly welcome you!

I did have relative success at UMM being named "Outstanding Student Leader" in 1999, and being the 1st Black graduate from the University with a Geology degree.
While at UMM, I did successfully convince the food department to bring up a Cajun cook to show them how to cook jambalaya and things of that nature! I also ended up on the cover of a few publications for the University!

After much fun in a small town college setting, I wanted to give back to my community, so I taught at LBL for one year before deciding that I wanted a degree in teaching.  I decided to attend Xavier University of Louisiana where I was voted "Outstanding Student Teacher" after a successful teaching stint, in Chemistry, at St. Augustine High School.

After the realization that I wanted marriage and children, I noticed that the salary of a teacher would not afford me many luxuries outside of paying my needs...so I opted to seek employment outside of the teaching world...how I miss having summers off...
Look at skinny me looking all model-ish!

Life does not always give you the groceries you desire, so the lemons of Hurricane Katrina landed me in Houston where I have been ever since 2005.

Since my time in Houston, I have been on several radio shows and even landed on TV again in 2014 on TLC.  I also picked back up my habit of visiting places and telling people about my experience.  I found that Houston has so many different types of eateries that I would surely stay happy.  I also found it exciting trying to find good Creole and Cajun food just one state away from Louisiana!  My journey led me to Yelp, and I have been Elite (the best of the best of reviewers status) every year I have participated with the group.

You are now following the journey of a person that is not unlike you.  Sit back and enjoy the journey, but I hope you interact with me along the way.
