WRESTLING RECAP: Playtime Williams breaks down WWE Raw from 04/06/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Only a week and a day removed from Wrestlemania 31 (W31), and the WWE has to make everything gel with the new storyline.  I will say that this was just an average RAW...not too bad, but nothing spectacular as well.  HHH & Stephanie were on vacation, and it looks like they took the more talented writers with them as well.

Some things for me that I need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2.  Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much

Highlights from W31

• Seth Rollins, J & J Security, Kane & The Big Show (The Authority) in ring

1. Booed heavily
2. "You Sold Out" chants
3. Spoke on W31 stats and records
4. Talked about "The Authority" at W31 and their success, except Kane
5. Randy Orton interrupts
6. "RKO" chants
7. Orton challenges Rollins for World Heavyweight Championship title
8. Kane announces a "Triple Threat" match between Roman Reigns, Orton & Ryback for the title at "Extreme Rules" Pay Per View as the main event match
9. All 3 competitors have a single's match before the main event match

• Randy Orton VS Kane

1. Slow paced match
2. Orton starts to get the best on Kane
3. Kane hits Ortons with a steel chair
4. Orton wins via disqualification 
5. 6 out of 10 for the match

Commentators announces that A. J. Lee retired

Cutaway: Rollins and Kane butt heads. Rollins wants protection to stay the champion. Kane wants what is best for business.  Rollins says Kane should step down as Director of Operations. Kane gives Rollins a match.

1. Neville has a cool looking intro
2. "NXT" chants
3. This proves that the Cruiser Weight Division is needed
4. Size difference is quite noticeable 
5. Neville showcases moves and pace that are normally seen in Lucha style wrestling
6. Neville had the crowd on their feet several times
7. J & J Security interference helped Rollins win
8. 8 out of 10 for the match

• Cena issues an open challenge for the U.S. Title - Stardust accepts

1. "Cody" chants
2. "John Cena Sucks" chants
3. Decent paced match
4. Cena did his new move, spring board stunner, which the crowd liked
5. 7 out of 10 for the match

• Naomi & Paige VS The Bella Twins

1. Show miscue from The Bella Twins from RAW last week
2. Slow paced match until Naomi is tagged in 
3. Another miscue from the Twins and Naomi picks up another win
4. 7 out of 10 for the match

Cutaway: Prime Time Players cut another promo to whereas they recap their diss of The New Day & then diss The Ascension. 

• Luke Harper VS Ryback

1. Decent paced match for big guys
2. Decent hard hits and big guy risky moves
3. Ryback wins
4. 7 out of 10 for the match

• The New Day (Xavier Woods & Big E) VS Lucha Dragons

1. "New Day Suck" chants

4. Glimpse that The New Day may turn heel after a smile from outside interference from Kofi Kingston
5. Lucha picks up win in a decent match

• Sheamus VS Mark Henry

1. New intro music for Sheamus

3. Claims no real men left to fight
4. No one his size to fight
5. Mark Henry music hits
6. Predictable match
7. Slow match but enjoyable
8. 7 out of 10 for the match

• The Miz VS Mizdow

1. Decent match
2. Too soon to have this match - no build up for the match with any real long term implications
3. Miz wins by holding tights during the roll up pin
4. 7 out of 10 for the match

• Randy Orton VS Roman Reigns VS Ryback

1. Decent match
2. The Authority shows up
3. Ryback is thrown over the top rope and The Authority moves close to the ring
4. Reigns see them and does a high risk dive over the top rope and knocks them all down
5. The Big Show delivers a K.O. punch to Reigns twice
6. The Authority gets involved in ring and Orton and Ryback clears out everyone
7. While Ryback is fighting, Orton delivers an RKO to him and steals a win
8. Seth Rollins knocks out the victorious Orton and raises belt over him
9. 8 out of 10 for the match
