WRESTLING RECAP: Playtime Williams breaks down WWE Raw from 07/20/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Pay Per View (PPV) Battleground (BG) was yesterday and many fans were happy the way things turned out.  Can the WWE build momentum on a great PPV, or will the WWE writers let down the WWE Universe with recycling the same talent.  This particular episode of RAW was memorable.


Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc. 
5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

Battleground (BG) Pay Per View (PPV) recap for the Heavyweight championship match between Brock Lesnar and champion Seth Rollins with a surprise return of The Undertaker

Undertaker comes to the ring

1. "Undertaker" chants
2. Says streaks are meant to be broken, but Lesnar bragged on the Wrestlemania win too much
3. Says he will conquer what has yet to be conquered
4. Says he will challenge Brock Lesnar's mortality

Stephanie McMahon and HHH announces Undertaker VS Brock Lesnar for the Summerslam PPV.  They talk about keeping the two apart so they don't jeopardize the PPV that is happening in 5 weeks.

RAW recap of NXT women joining the Divas Division

• Charlotte with Paige and Becky VS Brie Bella with Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox (Team B.A.D. on commentary)

1. Brie dominates early
2. Charlotte chops her way back into the match
3. Figure 8 submission applied to Brie and Brie taps out
4. Charlotte picks up a well earned submission win
5. 7 out of 10 for the match

HHH tries to convince Paul Heyman not to allow Lesnar to come to the arena tonight.  The Miz ask HHH if he saw what Big Show did to him at BG, unprovoked.  HHH puts him in a match with Show tonight

• Los Matadores with El Torito  VS Prime Time Players (PTP - Tag Team Champions)

1. Darren Young starts fast
2. Crowd really engaged for the match
3. Titus O'Neal beats the breaks off of Los Matadores
4. The New Day comes out on a mic and distracts PTP
5. Los Matadores capitalizes on a distracted O'Neil
6. Los Matadores with a pin victory
7. 8 out of 10 for the match

• The Miz VS Big Show 

1. Miz puts up a good fight but is overpowered 
2. Show ends the match with an elbow from the second rope
3. Big Show with a pin victory 
4. 7 out of 10 for the match
5. Big Show challenges Ryback for the Intercontinental title any time and any place
6. "Feed me more" chants
7. Show tells Ryback to show up tomorrow at Tough Enough for a fight

HHH and Stephanie sees Paul Heyman in the back. Heyman says Lesnar is not in the arena but has a retort for the Undertaker that he wants Heyman to deliver.  HHH agrees to let him.

HHH and Steph gathers the locker room in the back.  They tell the Superstars to get in between Lesnar and Undertaker for their livelihood's sake. 

• Paul Heyman comes to the ring

1. Heyman says Lesnar should be the champion but is not because Undertaker interferred
2. Heyman asks why shouldn't he brag on his client on doing something that so many A-Listers were not able to do.
3. States that Taker's soul belongs to the devil, but his ass belongs to Brock Lesnar
4. Undertaker appears in the ring
5. Lesnar runs from the back
6. Security comes and try to separate the two but gets beat up
7.  Superstars run from the back and separates the two
8. "Let them fight" chants
9. Lesnar and Taker keeps breaking free and fighting each other
10. "This is awesome" chants
11. Melee continues in the back until Lesnar is arrested

HHH lets Seph know he will not press charges on Lesnar.  he just wants him to cool off.  Seth Rollins ask them for time to address the WWE Universe.

BG recap of Luke Harper helping Bray Wyatt defeat Roman Reigns

• Luke Harper w/Bray Wyatt VS Roman Reigns

1. Reigns hops over the barricade to get to the ring and winces in pain and grabs his left arm
2. Dean Ambrose comes to the ring and the crowd explodes
3. Reigns keeps favoring his left arm
4. Back and forth action
5. Harper keeps attacking the left arm
6. Reigns starts to get the upper hand so Wyatt interferes 
7. Reigns wins via DQ 
8.  Brawl ensues between all for mean until Reigns and Ambrose clears the ring
9. 8 out of 10 for the match

BG PPV recap of Lesnar VS Rollins match with Taker's appearance 

RAW recap of Rusev destroying Dolph Ziggler and putting him out indefinitely

Seth Rollins (Heavyweight Champion) comes to the ring

1. Says that everyone underestimated him
2. Says he is the most under appreciated Champion in WWE history
3. "Justin Bieber" chants
4. Says he was robbed by Taker and Lesnar and calls Lillian Garcia to the ring
5. Tells Lillian to announce that Brock won via  DQ, but Rollins is still the champ
6. John Cena comes to the ring
7. Cena says Rollins is a poor excuse for a champion
8. Cena says Rollins is a joke and that he needs to man up
9. They both square off but Rollins leave the ring

RAW recap of NXT women being put in the Divas Division

• Paige and Becky with Charlotte VS Naomi and Sasha Banks with Tamina (Team Bella on commentary) 

1. Good pace
2. Great action
3. Great showcasing of skills
4. Sasha Banks put the Bank Statement finishing move on Paige and Paige taps
5. Team B.A.D. gets the win
6. 8 out of 10 for the match

RAW recap of Rusev destroying Dolph Ziggler

Lana gets interviewed and she says Ziggler is better and waiting to get medically cleared.  Summer Rae comes to the interview with a new look, which is a blonde that matches Lana.  Rusev tells Summer that she looks beautiful and kisses her.  Rusev then tells Lana that she looks tired and should get some rest.  Summer slaps Lana in the face and then leaves. 

• Cesaro, Randy Orton & John Cena (U.S. Champion) VS Kevin Owens, Rusev & Sheamus

1. Good action
2. Back and forth action
3. Kevin Owens accidently knocks Sheamus off the ring
4. Owens and Sheamus exchanges blows inside the ring
5. Sheamus leaves the match
6. Kevin Owens gives Rusev a hard tag into the match
7. Rusev checks Owens about the hard tag and Owens kicks him in the chin
8. Kevin Owens leaves the match
9. Lana comes out and attacks Summer Rae
10. Distracted Rusev gets hit with an Attitude Adjustment from Cena, then gets put in the Cesaro swing, and then Cesaro catapults Rusev in the air where he is caught with an RKO.
11. Pin victory for Cesaro, Randy Orton and John Cena
12. 8 out of 10 for the match
