WRESTLING RECAP: Breaking down WWE SmackDown from 08/20/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - There is only 3 days before the  Summer Slam (SS) Pay Per View (PPV). All the hyping and build up for this PPV will not be shown this close to a big PPV like SS.  I did not expect much from this particular SmackDown.  With the exception of a few good bumps, this show was seemed like merely a rest stop for most of the talent before SS.

Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc.
5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

• Intercontinental Champion Ryback VS Big Show

1. RAW recap of Ryback wrestling The Miz and then calling Big Show out after his victory.
2. Big Show starts off dominating Ryback
3. "Please retire" chants towards Big Show
4. Physical match that ends with Ryback clothes lining Big Show through the barricade and both getting counted out
5. Draw via unconscious competitors  
6. 7 out of 10 for the match

• The New Day VS Los Matadores and El Torito

1. "New Day sucks" chants early and often
2. Good team work action the entire match
3. El Torito was a needed jolt of energy for the match
4. Big E smashing El Torito made the match very good
5. Xavier Woods gets the pin
6. The New Day win via pin fall 
7. 8 out of 10 for this match

RAW recap of Dolph Ziggler returning to beat up Rusev after being injured by him 6 weeks ago.


Lana and Dolph Ziggler comes to the ring

1. Ziggler talks about the impact of Rusev attack did on him physically and mentally
2. "Lana" chants
3. Lana says that her and Dolph make a good team because they fight what they believe in
4. Lana says that Rusev and Summer are phony and Ziggler gets the real thing
5. Rusev's flag falls above the ring and Rusev and Summer Rae comes out
6. "USA" chants 
7. Rusev said that he will show Ziggler what real pain is at Summer Slam (SS)
8. Ziggler say he will steal the show and Rusev's real girlfriend at SS

Raw Recap of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and U.S. Title Champion John Cena exchanging verbal jabs about their winner take all match for SS.

• Bo Dallas VS Neville

1. Bo Dallas starts off strong
2. Neville eventually gets the upper hand
3. Neville does a few high risk moves
4. Neville lands the Red Arrow finisher
5. Neville gets the pin victory
6. Stardust comes on the Jumbotron and says that he and Cosmic King will beat Team Arrow at SS
7. 7 out of 10 for the match

• Brie Bella, Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox comes to the ring

1. Raw Recap of Divas Champ Nikki Bella losing to NXT Women's Champ Sasha Bank
2. Alicia Fox says in 26 days Nikki Bella will be the longest reigning Women's champion in WWE history
3. Nikki called Sasha Banks victory over her a fluke
4. Team Bella say they will beat Team B.A.D. and Team P.C.B.
5. Team B.A.D. comes to the ring and say that Team Bella will lose
6. Becky Lynch and Charlotte comes to the ring and say they will beat them all

• Becky Lynch VS Brie Bella VS  Sasha Banks

1. Brie shows the least amount of skill in the match
2. Becky and Sasha put on a good show
3. "NXT" chants
4. Brie runs Becky into Sasha and then rolls her up into a pin
5. Brie holds the tights of Becky and gets the win
6. Brie Bella gets the pin victory
7. 7 out of 10 for the match

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose cuts a promo saying how they will torture Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper at SS.  Randy Orton comes out and says he will RKO Sheamus and Sheamus will see it coming.  Cesaro says that he only wants to beat Kevin Owens and didn't even think about torture.  

RAW Recap of Brock Lesnar having a homecoming in Minnesota, but The Undertaker coming out and tomb stoning Lesnar and leaving the building.

• Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Cesaro VS Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Sheamus and Kevin Owens

1. Back and forth action
2. No one initially doing anything over the top during the match
3. Cesaro and Dean Ambrose had the most excitement from the crowd the entire match
4. "You look stupid" chants at Sheamus
5. A few big moves as the match started to come to an end
6. Roman Reigns brought new energy to the match and to the crowd
7. Long match
8. Each competitor was able to do a finishing move in succession 
9. Finally Dean Ambrose was able to put the Dirty Deeds finisher on Luke Harper
10. Orton, Reigns, Ambrose and Cesaro get a pin victory
11. 7.5 out of 10 for the match
