WRESTLING RECAP: Breaking down WWE SmackDown from 09/24/15

 

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - The Night of Champions (NOC) Pay Per View (PPV) was 4 days ago, and that was followed up by a good versus evil, Jekyll versus Hyde scenario with Kane that played out on RAW.  I felt disappointed that on RAW, nothing was mentioned on the condition of Sting.  This SmackDown left me disappointed because nothing was said about what exactly happened to the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, when he was drugged through a hole in the ring by Demon Kane. This episode of SmackDown was just a normal showing.   

Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc.
5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

Night of Champions (NOC) Pay Per View (PPV) recap of Seth Rollins losing the U.S. Title to John Cena.  Then Rollins beating Sting to maintain the World Heavyweight Championship.  Then Sheamus coming out to try to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Rollins, but Demon Kane showing up and choke slamming him.  Then Demon Kane choke slamming Rollins, then giving him a Tombstone pile driver.  Then a RAW recap of Seth Rollins trying to find Stephanie McMahon and HHH to find out where Kane's mentally laid, but finding Corporate Kane being happy and professional.  Corporate Kane informs Rollins that he has a RAW rematch with Cena for the U.S. Title.  Finally a recap of Rollins losing to Cena, then Demon Kane coming through a hole in the bottom of the ring and dragging Rollins through it.



Corporate Kane comes to the ring

1. Kane make several innuendo jokes about what happened to Rollins on RAW
2. Kane announces several matches that will take place on SmackDown
3. Seth Rollins comes to the entrance ramp
4. Rollins accuses Corporate Kane of being Demon Kane
5. Rollins accuses Kane of trying to drag him to hell
6.  Kane speaks in 2 different vocal tones and 2 different temperaments to add to that suspicion of Rollins
7. Rollins said he isn't comfortable with Kane being around him, and that Kane needs professional help
8. Kane announces that Rollins has a match with Dean Ambrose tonight 

• Roman Reigns VS Luke Harper

1. RAW recap of  the Wyatt Family in an all out brawl with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton
2. Reigns takes an early advantage in the match
3. Harper rakes the eyes of Reigns to take the advantage
4. Reigns sneaks in a Superman punch followed by a spear
5. Roman Reigns wins via pin-fall
6. 7out of 10 for the match

•  Tag Team Champions The New Day VS Nevile and Lucha Dragons

1. The New Day say they will rid the WWE of The Dudley Boyz and save the tables
2. "New Day sucks" chants
3. Lucha Dragons get an early advantage until Big E gets tagged in
4. After others of The New Day are allowed in the ring, back and forth action happens and spills outside of the ring
5. Xavier Woods is rolling in the ring and gives a surprising running knee to Sincara
6. The New Day with a pin fall victory to cap an athletic match
7. 8 out of 10 for the match

• Cesaro VS Bo Dallas

1. RAW recap of  Cesaro getting his back hurt by The Big Show, but still delivering a suplex to Big how, causing him to get the KO punch while holding his back in pain
2. Bo Dallas tells Cesaro he is stuck losing to The Big Show
3. Cesaro with an early advantage
4. Bo takes control and targets the injured back of Cesaro
5. Cesaro gets Bo in a creative pin to sneak a victory
6. Cesaro with a pin victory
7. 7 out of 10 for the match

NOC recap of Divas title match with Charlotte winning 

RAW recap of Charlotte giving props to her father, Ric Flair

Charlotte and Becky Lynch comes to the ring

1. Charlotte says winning the title at NOC was her dream scenario
2. Paige comes out and says she wants to make a hard attempt to apologize to Charlotte and Becky
3. Paige says she just isn't sure that Charlotte is woman enough to be Divas champion
4. Paige says she started the Divas revolution and deserves a little recognition
5. Natalya comes out and says it is stupid to be jealous of Charlotte winning the championship
6. Paige said Natty is trying to be relevant though the young divas and then smacks Natty
7. Paige leaves the ring with everyone stunned

NOC recap of Kevin Owens raking the eyes of Ryback to win the Intercontinental (IC) title

• IC champion Kevin Owens & Rusev with Summer Rae VS Dolph Ziggler & Ryback

1. Rusev and Owens dominates early
2. "We want Lana" chants
3. Ziggler can't make it to his corner and keeps getting dominated
4. "Feed me more" chants
5. Ziggler muster the strength to fight off both buys and tag Ryback
6. Ryback is caught with a kick to the face and Owens grabs the IC title and head towards the entrance ramp
7. A puzzled Rusev grabs Ziggler and tosses him in the ring
8. Rusev tries to attack Ziggler but gets kicked in the chin
9. Ryback puts Rusev in the Shell Shock
10. Ziggler and Ryback wins via pin fall
11. 7 out of 10 for the match

The Dudley Boyz are interviewed and say they will take the titles from The New Day at Madison Squared Garden next Saturday.  Prime Time Players comes out and wishes Team 3D luck and say after they beat The New Day, it's Prime Time.

Seth Rollins interviewed and says he doesn't buy what Kane is selling.  Says Kane needs to get help.  Says he will destroy Dean Ambrose like he always does.

• Dean Ambrose VS World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins

1. Back and forth action
2. Every time Ambrose mounts an offense, Rollins has a counter move
3. "Ambrose" chants
4. After a lunatic lariat clothesline, Ambrose fights with fire in his soul
5. After a thumb to the eye of Ambrose, Rollins is able to put Ambrose in a buckle bomb
6. Before Rollins could capatalize, the arena goes red and fire comes from the entrance ramp
7. A distracted Rollins gets caught in a roll up pin
8. Pin victory for Dean Ambrose
9. Rollins grabs the microphone and tells Kane that if he keeps  playing mind games, he will hurt him like he hurt Sting at NOC
10. 7 out of 10 for the match
