WRESTLING RECAP: Breaking down WWE SmackDown from 01/28/16

( - The Royal Rumble (RR) Pay Per View (PPV) is 4 days in the book and now onto the Fastlane PPV.  This was a decent SmackDown, but really did nothing to get anyone excited about the upcoming PPV. 

Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

  1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
  2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
  3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
  4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc. 
  5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

  • The Usos, Titus O'Neal and Dolph Ziggler gets a pin victory over The New Day and The Miz. Match Rating (MR): 3

  • Kalisto retains his U.S. Title over Neville. MR: 3

  • A. J. Styles lands his finisher on Curtis Axel. MR: 3

  • Charlotte forces Natalya to tap. MR: 2

  • Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns gets a disqualification victory over The Wyatt Family. MR: 3
