WRESTLING RECAP: WWE NXT from 06/21/17

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - WWE NXT is exclusively shown on the WWE Network and is worth your time, energy and effort to see it. You can see that the WWE will be around for a long time because of the talent pool that is constantly showcased here.

NXT 398 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: 4 matches and a slow show tonight.  No energy from the crowd for most of the matches.  

Episode tidbits: 

Hideo Itami apologized for his actions to Kassius Ohno (KO).  Hideo let KO know that he has been acting out of character because he has not been able to duplicate his success in NXT like he did in Japan. 

Asuka versus Nikki Cross next week in a Last Women Standing match for the NXT Women Championship.

Bobby Roode egged on Roderick Strong until Strong attacked Roode.  NXT Championship match in 2 weeks.  

Match 1: Ember Moon eclipse Peyton Royce (Match Grade: B-)

Billie Kay tried to interfere but even the number game did not help Peyton.

Match 2: Eric Young & Alexander Wolfe dominates The Ealy Brothers (Match Grade: C+)

The SAnitY members came out with a chip on their shoulders. They truly dominated the brother the vast majority of the match.

Match 3: Sonya Deville wins a snoozer of a match against Rachel Evers (Match Grade: D+)

This matched seemed choreographed.  So much time elapsed in between contact from the competitors.

 

Match 4: Aleister Black outlasts Kassius Ohno (Match Grade: C-)

Match started off slowly with a variety of technical arm bars from each competitor.  The match had plenty of big hits, but rarely in succession.  A faster-paced match would have easily resulted in a higher grade.
