NXT 409 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: This was a good episode, with three matches, that ended strong with the match, as well as the episode cliff hanger.

Episode tidbits

Members of SAnitY were knocked out by their vehicles to start off the show.

Drew McIntyre comes out for the first time as NXT Champion.  He calls out all members of the locker room and said ask for a title shot face to face.  Roderick Strong comes out and asks for a shot.

NXT Women's Champion Asuka updates the NXT Universe with her health status next week.

General Manager (GM) William Regal says he will look into whoever attacked SAnitY.  Kassius Ohno comes into his office and ask Regal for a no disqualification match against Hideo Itami next week and was granted the match.

GM Regal puts Lars Sullivan in a 3 against 1 handicap match next week as a punishment for beating up 3 people unprovoked.

Cezar Bononi Vs Andrade "Cien" Almas rematch next week.

Drew McIntyre was jumped by Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, and Adam Cole again!

Match 1: Peyton Royce defeats Ruby Riot (Match Grade: C+)

This match would have been rated higher if the pace was faster.  A boot from Billie Kay gave the team Iconic the win.

Match 2: Damien Aweel and Edwin Negron could not handle Heavy Machinery (Match Grade: C+)

This match was too short!  Great tag team maneuvers showed by Heavy Machinery.  Take a look at the "Compactor" finisher.

Match 3: Roderick Strong beats Bobby Roode (Match Grade: B)

How many ways can Strong do a back breaker?  He had a creative assortment of back breakers this match!  You see advanced techniques and a high skill level for both participants this match.
