NXT 404 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: 3 matches and this episode is getting storylines together for NXT Takeover Brooklyn III.  A decent episode overall to boot.

Episode tidbits

NXT Women's Champion Asuka accepts the title defense challenge from Ember Moon for NXT Takeover Brooklyn III.  Moon came to the ring and the two got into a fight which ended with Asuka lying in the middle of the ring after an eclipse from Moon.

The tag team "Street Profits" will be coming to NXT soon.

Bobby Roode says that Roderick Strong is not good enough to be in his NXT.  Roode also wants to have a face to face with Drew McIntyre next week.  Strong tried to attack Roode and William Regal told him that he is being unprofessional.  Regal lets Strong know that is still just Roode VS McIntyre for the title at NXT Takeover Brooklyn III.

Andrade "Cien" Almas vs No Way Jose next week.

NXT Tag Team Champions Authors of Pain vs SAnitY for the titles at NXT Brooklyn III.

Hideo Itami said no one is giving him respect, so he isn't going to give anyone else respect.  He takes a microphone and goes to the ring and tells the NXT crowd to give him respect.  Aleister Black comes to the ring and Itami acts as if he was going to leave the ring but tries to attack Black.  Itami runs into a spinning heel kick that knocks him out.

Match 1: Johnny Gargano defeats Raul Mendoza (Match Grade: B-)

If you want to see a variety of wrestling techniques executed for an entire match, then check this match out.

Match 2: Sonya Deville submits Jenna Van Bemel  (Match Grade: C-)

This short match ended with a triangle submission.  They made Jenna too slow and it really took away from the match.

Match 3: Aleister Black defeats a gamed Kyle O'Reilly in his NXT debut (Match Grade: C+)

This match showcased big hits and MMA techniques.  If the sequencing of the match could have been better, thusly getting the crowd energized and fully behind the match, this match would have been graded higher.
