WRESTLING RECAP: Breaking down WWE Smackdown from 03/26/15



(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - I love blogging about wrestling, but the March 26, 2015 episode of Smackdown was understandably dull. From my previous recaps, you know to accept the fact that with Wrestlemania 31 (W31) only being 3 days away, WWE cannot afford to have major stars injure themselves before the Super Bowl of Wrestling, so the show had a few good moments, but was underwhelming.  Here are the highlights of the show:

  • Fatal Four Way: Fernando, Jimmy Uso, Big E & Cesaro
    1. Preview of the tag team title match for W31
    2. Highlight of the match was a 4 person suplex with Big E being the base and delivering the cool move
    3. Medium paced match
    4. 7 out of 10 match
  • Wrestlemania Access Plug = Time Filler
    1. ESPN Interview with Brock Lesnar to announce he signed a WWE contract
    2. Montage showcasing Roman Reigns accomplishments, Lesnar's accomplishments, and how they ended up battling each other at W31
    3. Intercontinental Ladder Match with history of the title and its significance to Wrestlemania
    4. Diva Match plug
    5. Cena VS Rusev and the road they took to battle each other at W31
    6. Seth Rollins VS Randy Orton and the road they took to battle each other at W31

    1. Plea to Paige to forget incident on RAW between the two & to focus on winning at W31
    2. Paige comes to the ring and accepts
    3. Bella Twins interrupt the love fest and throws jabs at the work ethic and dedication of Lee
  • Wrestlemania Access Plug
    1. HHH VS Sting and the road they took to battle each other at W31
    2. Bray Wyatt VS The Undertaker and the road they took to battle each other at W31

  • 8 Man Tag Team Match: John Cena, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns VS Seth Rollins, The Big Show, Kane and Bray Wyatt
    1. Medium paced match
    2. No really big moves performed during the match
    3. Reigns shows his toughness and fights everyone for a long time
    4. Cena is booed for most of the match
    5. Seth Rollins showcased why he is called "The future of the WWE"
    6. Bryan makes the match completely worth watching
    7. Ending was strong with finishing moves from various stars applied to Show
    8. Bryan delivers the running knee finishing move and pins show for the win
    9. 8 out of 10 for the match
Prediction: I will make a separate video to list the matches and give my predictions
