WRESTLING RECAP: Playtime Williams breaks down WWE Raw from 09/07/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Time to build up the hype surrounding The Night of Champions (NOC) Pay Per View (PPV), so this episode of RAW should be something special.  Unfortunately, this week's episode was just a common feeling RAW.  No real new wrinkles in the wrestling fabric.  Just a cementing of matches essentially.


Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc. 
5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

Seth Rollins comes to the ring

1. Rollins brags that he is special
2. Rollins pats himself on the back for being the 1st World Heavyweight and U.S. Title holding Champion
3. Says his greatness caused jealousy in Sting, so Sting stole his statue
4. "We want Sting" chants
5. Says if Sting wins at the Night of Champions (NOC) Pay Per View (PPV), then Sting cements his legacy, but if he (Rollins) wins, he destroys Sting's legacy
6. "Boring" chants
7. Rollins is upset that he has to defend both titles at the NOC PPV
8. Then he had the awakening that he is "Seth Frickin' Rollins" so he will own Sting and John Cena at NOC
9. Rollins says he will get his statue back
10. Sting comes on the Jumbotron and says he has the statue and they are both in the arena, so come get it
11. Sheamus comes out to the ring
12. "You look stupid" chants
13. Sheamus tells Rollins that if he manages to win both matches at NOC, he may have to do a 3rd match with him, the Money in the Bank winner at NOC

Seth Rollins goes to the back and asks Stephanie McMahon for HHH so he can come up with a plan.  Steph said she had a plan, but Rollins keeps asking for HHH. HHH shows up and says their is not a need for a plan because Rollins in the man.  HHH lets him know that Sheamus has a match with Randy Orton, so don't worry about him.  HHH also lets Rollins knows that he needs to focus on wrestling twice at NOC, so he has 2 matches tonight.  First match is against Ryback and in the second match, he will team with The New Day to take on the Prime Time Players and John Cena.  Steph said her plans was for Rollins to go after Sting!

• Paige with Team PCB VS Sasha Banks with Team B.A.D.

1. Paige starts off aggressively
2. Eventual back and forth match
3. Some big moves from both ladies
4. "This is awesome" chants
5. Paige looked as if she would win but Naomi distracted the referee
6. Sasha catches Paige in a roll up pin for the victory
7. 7 out of 10 for the match

• The Ascension VS Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns

1. SmackDown recap of Bray Wyatt issuing a NOC challenge to Ambrose, Reigns and a person of their choosing
2. Complete domination by Ambrose and Reigns
3. Ambrose and Reigns even did a throwback top rope move from the Legion of Doom
4. Pin victory for Ambrose and Reigns
5. The Wyatt family comes on the Jumbotron and says that apocalypse will happen for them and whomever is foolish to support their cause 
6. 7 out of 10 for the match 

Ryback is interviewed about his match against Seth Rollins.  Ryback says he beat Rollins.  Kevin Owens comes out and tells him not to bite off more than he can chew.

• World Heavyweight & U.S. Champion Seth Rollins VS Intercontinental Champion (IC) Ryback

1. Ryback asks a "Make A Wish" child, ringside, to hold the IC title while he wrestles
2. Ryback dominates early
3. After consistently decent counter maneuvers, Rollins gets control of the match
4. "Feed me more" chants
5. Both guys pummels each other
6. Sting comes to the Jumbotron and asks Rollins why he is not focused on getting his statue back
7. Ryback gets a pin victory on a distracted Rollins
8. Sting comes back on the Jumbotron and puts a Sting mask on Rollins' statue
9. 7 out of 10 for the match

Seth Rollins is yelling in the back for Sting.  The New Day tells Rollins to stay focused because he has a match with them tonight.  Rollins is told to turn around and finds that Edge and Christian are standing behind him.  Edge reminds Rollins that he threatened to paralyze him the last time he was on the show and wants Rollins to try it now.  Rollins says he has a lot on his plate and just leaves.  Xavier Woods challenges Christian to a song battle and Christian plays "New Day Sucks" on a kazoo.  Big destroys the Kazoo via biting and throwing the bitten object.  The New Day looks up and the Dudley Boyz comes on side of Edge and Christian.  Bubba Dudley lets them know that next RAW will feature a match between the Prime Time Players and The New Day, with the winner facing the Dudley Boyz at NOC.  Bubba also debuted his new song "Get the tables."


Summer Rae comes to the ring

1. RAW and SmackDown recap of the entire Lana, Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae situation
2. "We want Lana" chants
3. Summer says she owes Rusev an apology
4. Summer says she posed for Ironman Magazine because of the strength that Rusev gave her
5. "Boring" chants
6. Summer said that she betrayed Rusev in a moment of weakness
7. Rusev accepts the apology
8. Rusev blames Dolph Ziggler for making Summer and Lana victims
9. Ziggler comes to the ring
10. Zigglers says Lana has a message fro Rusev and then kicks Rusev in the chin
11. Rusev and Summer retreats to the back
    

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are seen speaking with Randy Orton, but you can't hear what they are saying. 

• Randy Orton VS Sheamus

1. No clear early advantage
2. "You look stupid" chants
3. Sheamus grabs the mic and says he does not look stupid
4. Back and forth action
5. Each guy looked as if they would win the match multiple times during the match
6. RKO out of no where ends the match
7. Randy Orten gets a pin victory
8. Orton leaves the ring and the lights go off
9. When the lights comes back on, Orton is surrounded by the Wyatt Family
10. Wyatt family attacks and destroys Orton
11. 7 out of 10 for the match

• The Dudley Boyz VS Los Matadores with El Torito

1. Too quick of a match
2. Miscue by Los Matodores leads to a 3D finishing move
3. The Dudley Boyz gets the pin victory
4. Los Matadores beats up El Torito
5. "We want tables" chants
6. Devon stops El Torito from getting beat up
7. Team 3D puts a member of Los Matadores through a table
8. 7 out of 10 for the match   

• Cesaro VS The Miz

1. Recap of earlier interaction between Miz and Cesaro whereas Miz tried to convince Cesaro to team with him but the idea is rejected
2. Early Cesaro dominance
3. Miz finally starts to get the advantage on Cesaro and a man Big Show comes out the back
4. Big Show goes after The Miz, but Miz runs out the ring and into the crowd
5. No contest
6. Big Show KO punches Cesaro as he leaves the area
7. 7 out of 10 for the match

Team Bella comes to the ring and state that in 1 week no one can deny that Team Bella was the Diva Revolution.  Team Bella says they will throw the biggest party when Nikki becomes the longest reigning Divas Champion.  Team PCB comes out and Charlotte says she was granted the match next week for the Divas title.  Team PCB attacks Team Bella and clears the ring.

• John Cena/Prime Time Players VS Tag Team Champions The New Day/World Heavyweight & U.S. Champion Seth Rollins

1. "New Day sucks!" & "New Day rocks" chants often during the match
2. Big E dominated early
3. Xavier Woods is keeping the crowd engaged and irritated with his ringside trombone playing
4. Big E misses a big splash that allows Titus O'Neal to come in the match with huge energy
5. Everyone gets a high impact move on each other which eventually only leads Cena and Rollins standing
6. Rollins makes a tag to Kofi while Cena has him in a submission hold
7. Kofi tries to splash Cena from the top rope, but Cena catches him and gives him an AA
8. Cena and Prime Time Players win via pin  
9. Seth is in the ring upset
10. Sting appears n the Jumbotron and says Seth never came to get his statue
11. Sting them shows that the statue is in front of a garbage compacting truck
12. String pushes the statue in the compactor, thus destroying the statue
13. "Na, na , na, na na! Hey, hey, hey, goodbye" chants
14. 7 out of 10 for the match
