NXT 399 on the WWE Network:
Verdict: 3 matches and NXT brought it tonight. Plenty of action to gain interest for future story lines.
Episode tidbits:
Mauro Ranallo joined the commentary team.
Heavy Machinery versus the Authors of Pain in two weeks.
Hideo Itami calls out Kassius Ohno (KO) to the ring. When KO comes to the ring, they guys of SAnitY, with Nikki Cross watching, jumps Itami and Ohno. Match between those 4 men next week.
Bobby Roode versus Roderick Strong for the NXT Championship next week.
Match 1: The Velveteen Dream defeats Hoho Lun (Match Grade: C+)
Size advantage goes to the Dream. Too quick of a match.
Match 2: Hideo Itami defeats Oney Lorcan (Match Grade: B)
Oney Lorcan was able to get slight payback from 3 weeks ago when Hideo hit him with three go to sleep (GTS) finishers during their match. Oney hit Itami with an European uppercut at full speed as soon as the bell rung and broke Hideo's nose. Blood dripped everywhere, and Hideo went to the back.
Hideo comes back to the ring a little later and calls out Oney. Oney comes out and Hideo kicks Oney in the face as soon as the bell rung.
Back and forth action until the GTS happened!

Match 3: Asuka retains her Women's Championship against Nikki Cross in the first ever NXT Last Woman Standing Match (Match Grade: B)
No disqualifications meant plenty of steel chairs, ladders and other toys of destruction were used during this match. Power bombs, fisherman suplex, flush kicks, spinning neck breakers...just some of what you saw for this match. This was a long and brutal match.
