NXT 400 on the WWE Network:

Verdict: 2 matches and NXT had a better than decent showing with just those 2 matches.  This landmark show did plenty to stoke intrigue for future story lines.

Episode tidbits

Ruby Riot told Ember Moon that she already had a shot at Asuka so she needs to wait her turn.

Asuka says she'll be back in NXT when NXT finds her some competition.

Drew Mcintyre stated that all roads lead to him being the NXT Champion.  Drew stated that he did not care who he faces getting the title.

Johnny Gargano returns next week.

Andrade Almas is still having issues with an unknown lady.

Match 1: Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dane of SAnitY defeats Kassius Ohno and Hideo Itami (Match Grade: C+)

Both teams wasted little time giving the crowd big hits.  The teamwork and trust of the SAnitY members came evident quickly.  Miscommunication was a big issue for Ohno and Itami, and probably will lead to a future match between the two.

Match 2: NXT Champion Bobby Roode defeats Roderick Strong (Match Grade: B+)

Strong proved his hunger and fire for the title burned strong shortly into the match.  Roode felt numerous back breakers until Strong had a mishap that caused him a leg injury.

The fight Strong gave the entire match makes one think that a healthy Strong would have Roode's number.

The match ended twice!  Strong was the new champion until the referee realized he made a mistake.  The last ending with Roode winning had the NXT Universe upset and they let NXT know it quite loudly verbally.
