WRESTLING RECAP: Playtime Williams breaks down WWE Raw from 12/28/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Still dealing with the fallout from the Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View (PPV) and now having the Royal Rumble (RR) PPV in less than a month, time for the WWE writers to take RAW into high gear.  Let's keep in mind that this is the last RAW of the year of 2015!

Sad to report that for the 2nd week in a row, RAW has really fallen flat.

Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

  1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
  2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.
  3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
  4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc.
  5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

Here are the highlights of the show:

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - The Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View (PPV) was 2 weeks ago, and there still hasn't been any shocking developments since then.  The end of the year is approaching, and RAW was quite average, so on a SuperSmackDown, live on a Tuesday, I was hoping the show would be at least decent.  There was actually some really decent matches on this live edition of SmackDown.

Sad to report that there wasn't anything truly special about this RAW episode.

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - The Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View (PPV) was Sunday, and the WWE writers started off with an awesome tag team match, and the show fizzled from there.  The Heavyweight title match was more interesting watching Roman Reigns snap after being out of the title once again.  The next day on RAW, you saw Reigns getting smacked by Stephanie McMahon for hurting her husband HHH at TLC.  Then Steph lets Reigns know that Vince McMahon was personally showing up to deal with Reigns.  A title match later, Reigns knocks out Vince McMahon and is finally the champion.

This episode of SmackDown should be awesome because the writers have so much to work with at this point.  I will admit, even though this SmackDown episode was rather average, at least the writers did give the viewers something to watch and not just ham up a show before a PPV.

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View (PPV) was yesterday, and outside of 2 instances, the PPV was boring.  The Tag Team Title match, to start off the show was excellent.  Roman Reigns completely snapping and hurting HHH after getting cheated out of the title again had the WWE universe buzzing about the possibilities of RAW.

This RAW was slightly above average because of an ECW style match that took place, but the writers still dropped the ball with the handling of Roman Reigns on tonight's episode.

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View (PPV) is 6 days away, and the WWE writers truly needed to get something going to sale this event.  They definitely did a great job of starting the show by bringing in an old ECW and WWE alumni into the fray.  This RAW was slightly above average and did a little better in getting people interested in the upcoming PPV.

This SmackDown was rather average, even with  showcasing the new faction knows at the League of Nations.

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Survivor Series (SS) Pay Per View (PPV) was Sunday.  That PPV was semi predictable.  Now it is time for the Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV, simply known as TLC.  This showing did not do much for the overall brand besides name a #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship.  So sad that the WWE writers kind of forgot about writing for that title at the same time they were writing for the Heavyweight Championship.

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - The Survivor Series (SS) Pay Per View (PPV) is 1 day in the past.  This PPV was average at best, with a predictable story line for the hard core viewers.  Well, you have a new PPV in 3 weeks, Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) that you truly need to get momentum going. This RAW was rather average, and did not do much for creating excitement and anticipation for the TLC PPV.
