WRESTLING RECAP: Breaking down WWE SmackDown from 12/17/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - The Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View (PPV) was Sunday, and the WWE writers started off with an awesome tag team match, and the show fizzled from there.  The Heavyweight title match was more interesting watching Roman Reigns snap after being out of the title once again.  The next day on RAW, you saw Reigns getting smacked by Stephanie McMahon for hurting her husband HHH at TLC.  Then Steph lets Reigns know that Vince McMahon was personally showing up to deal with Reigns.  A title match later, Reigns knocks out Vince McMahon and is finally the champion.

This episode of SmackDown should be awesome because the writers have so much to work with at this point.  I will admit, even though this SmackDown episode was rather average, at least the writers did give the viewers something to watch and not just ham up a show before a PPV.

Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

  1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
  2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.
  3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
  4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc.
  5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

Here are the highlights of the show:

Air Date: Thursday, December 17, 2015

A quick video recap of the matches and who won:

The cheat notes (For a full recap, watch the proceeding video after the cheat notes):

All matches this episode gets a match rating of 2

  • Alberto Del Rio gets a submission victory on Ryback when the League of Nations causes a distraction.

  • Titus O'Neal picks up a pin victory on a distracted Tyler Breeze.  Goldust seems to have an interest in Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae.

  • The Lucha Dragons gets a very creative win over the Tag Team Champions, The New Day.

  • Charlotte gives a cheating hand to allow Becky Lynch to get a submission win over Brie Bella.

  • Kevin Owens intentionally got himself disqualified in an attempt to try to send Dolph Ziggler to the hospital.

My recap and thoughts on tonight's show including cutaway scenes in between matches:
