WRESTLING RECAP: Playtime Williams breaks down WWE Raw from 09/21/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - The Night of Champions (NOC) Pay Per View (PPV) was yesterday, and they had some hits and misses with the show.  There is a new PPV to be had in a few weeks, and time to build momentum towards that event.  Did that happen with this show?  In my observation, not at all.  They didn't really capitalize off of the NOC show yesterday either.  Just an average show this time around.


Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc. 
5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

The Wyatt Family comes to the ring

1. They talk about their win over Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and surprise partner Chris Jericho
2. Reigns comes to the ring
3. "Roman Reigns" chants
4. Reigns ask Bray for a 1 on 1 match without his family.  No refs. Just a fight.
5. Bray sends his family out of the ring and they start fighting
6.  When Reigns gets the upper hand, the Wyatt Family jumps Reigns
7. Dean Ambrose comes out and fights everyone
8. The numbers game is too much for Reigns and Ambrose
9. Randy Orton comes out and attacks the Wyatt Family
10. All 3 men attacks Braun Strowman until he gets knocked out of the ring, but still lands on his feet

Recap of Seth Rollins defending both the U.S. Title, then the Heavyweight title at Night of Champions (NOC) Pay Per View (PPV).  After losing to Cena, but beating Sting, how Sheamus came out to cash his Money in the Bank (MitB) contract on Rollins.  Lastly, how Demon Kane came back and choked slammed Sheamus before he could cash in the contract, and choked slammed Rollins.  Then, Kane deciding to tombstone pile driver Rollins for added measure.

Seth Rollins goes to the door of The Authority (HHH and Stephanie McMahon) and comes in to ask for a favor to deal with Demon Kane.  When Rollins comes goes in, Corporate Kane is inside, chipper and drinking coffee.   He tells Rollins not to worry about the leg attack that he did to him months back.  He then informs Rollins that he has a rematch for the U.S. title tonight with John Cena.  A confused and scared Rollins leaves the office.

• The Cosmic Wasteland (Stardust & The Ascension) VS Neville & The Lucha Dragons

1. Sincara slips off the top rope while trying to do a high risk moves and gets pummeled
2. "Cody" chants
3. Once Neville gets in the match, the crowd erupts
4. Wasteland dominates Neville
5. Once Kalisto gets in, he dominates with speed and accurate high risk flyer moves
6. A fresh Kalisto gets a pin victory
7. 7 out of 10 for the match

Seth Rollins finds The Authority and asked why they reinstated Kane as Director of Operations after what he did to him at NOC.  They both have a confused look on their face.  Seth tells them that he is banged up from NOC and Kane put him in a rematch for the U.S. title.  The Authority tells him to worry about his rematch and they will deal with Kane.

NOC recap of Kevin Owens raking the eyes of Ryback to win the Intercontinental Championship (IC) .

• Ryback VS Bo Dallas

1. Kevin Owens walks out with IC belt in hand goes to the commentator table
2. Bo Dallas grabs the microphone and congratulates Owens on his title win
3. Dallas tells Ryback that he isn't better than Owens
4. Ryback comes out aggressively 
5. Dallas eventually tries to mount continuous offense to no avail 
6. Ryback gives a vicious clothesline and then delivers a shell shock
7. Ryback with the pin victory
8. Kevin Owens attacks Ryback from behind
9. Ryback gets 1 punch on Owens and Owens leaves the ring
10. 7 out of 10 for the match 

NOC recap of the Divas championship match between Nikki Bella and Charlotte with Charlotte winning the title from Nikki.

• Ric Flair comes to the ring

1. Flair says he is a happy and is proud of his daughter
2. "Thank you Flair"
3. Flair said that is his proudest moment in his wrestling career was watching his daughter with the title
4. Charlotte comes to the ring with Team PCB
5. Charlotte says she loves her dad
6. Charlotte gives PCB their props for their assistance in her journey to the top
7. Paige says horrible things about Charlotte and all the Divas in the WWE
8. Paige says she started the Revolution and Charlotte isn't strong enough to keep Team Bella from getting that belt back and keeping the Diva's division just as it was
9. Paige says Charlotte is only there because of her old man, and then leaves the ring
10. Team Bella comes out and says jealousy is part of the title reign and ask her if she is tough enough to handle it 
11. Nikkie says that Charlotte will lose to Brie tonight, and then lose the belt to her later

• Divas Champion Charlotte VS Brie Bella

1. Back and forth until the leg injury from NOC came into play against Charlotte
2. Brie concentrated all efforts on the leg
3. Charlotte caught Brie going after her leg and countered attacked
4. After landing a spear on Brie, Charlotte locks in the Figure 8
5. Charlotte wins via submission 
6. 7 out of 10 for the match

• Sheamus VS Mark Henry

1. NOC recap of Sheamus trying to cash in the MitB contract, but being attacked by Demon Kane
2. Short match
3. Henry shows his power early
4. Sheamus slips one move and give him 2 kicks to the face
5. Sheamus gets the pin victory
6. Sheamus says it is only a matter of time before his is champ because of his MitB contract
7. 7 out of 10 for the match 

The Authority questions Corporate Kane about his intentions because of Demon Kane's actions at NOC.  Kane says he has no idea what they mean.  Steph ask Kane for his demon mask back and Kane said that he gave it to her for safe keeping.  Kane moves in the face of Steph and demon Kane voice comes out and tells her if she lost the mask, they will have a big problem.  HHH is upset, but Corporate Kane voice comes back and says he will help them look for the mask, and then leaves the office.

Paige is approached by Natalya and told she acted unprofessionally tonight and ruined Charlotte's moment.  She also said that Paige is the only person standing in Paige's way.

• Tag Team Champions The New Day & Rusev with Summer Rage VS The Dudley Boyz and Dolph Ziggler

1. "New Day sucks" chants
2. New Day says The Dudley Boyz are a menace to society
3. They also say we need  to save the tables
4. "We want tables" chants
5. New Day and Rusev gets dominated until Xavier Woods got on the apron with the trombone
6. Ziggler is isolated and beat on until a miscue from Rusev allowed a tag to Bubba Duddley to happen 
7. A fresh Bubba clears the ring
8. Xavier interferes and gets kicked in the face by Ziggler
9. When Ziggler turns around, Rusev kicks him in the face
10. Pin victory for The New Day and Rusev
11. 7 out of 10 for the match

• Naomi with Team B.A.D. Vs Natalya

1. Natty starts off strong
2. After one missed move, Naomi dominates
3. "Lets go Natty" chants
4. Natty fights back, but the numbers game is too much (3 on 1)
5. Naomi gets a pin victory
6. 7 out of 10 for the match

Seth Rollins talks with The Authority and they let Seth know that Kane is over his payback.  Seth disagrees until HHH tells him they will handle Kane and to just concentrate on John Cena.

• The Big Show VS Cesaro 

1. RAW recap from 2 weeks ago when Big Show KO punched Cesaro after being frustrated from not being able to punch The Miz
2. Big Show dominates until he misses an elbow drop
3. Cesaro fights on until his back is run into a steel post
4. Cesaro decided that even with an injured back, he was going to suplex Big Show
5. Cesaro is hobbled after the suplex, and Show delivers a KO punch
6. Big Show with a pin victory
7. Big Show says he will knock out Brock Lesnar
8. Says he can't stand Lesnar
9. "Suplex City"
10. Show said that Lesnar can't suplex city his big body
11. Show says Lesnar will think he will be in hell after they fight
12. 7 out of 10 for the match

The Wyatt Family cuts a promo saying that Randy Orton hasn't learned his lesson

• Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins VS U.S. Champion John Cena for the U.S. Title 

1. NOC recap of Cena beating Rollins for the U.S. Title
2. Rollins attacks Cena during the participant ring announcements
3. Rollins dominates early and keeps getting a 2 count on Cena
4. Cena fights back and the match stays back and forth
5. Rollins hits a frog splash and Cena rolls through it and picks Rollins up
6. Cena delivers an AA to Rollins
7. Cena with the pin victory
8. 7 out of 10 for the match

A pleasant Corporate Kane comes to on the Jumbotron and says as to Seth Rollins, as champion, everyone is gunning for him.  Even the people he would least expect is gunning for him.  Fire comes from the top of the entrance ramp and the stadium turns red.  Demon Kane comes from a hole in the ring, grabs Rollins, and then drags a kicking and screaming Rollins into that hole.
