WRESTLING RECAP: Breaking down WWE SmackDown from 07/23/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - The fallout from the Battleground (BG)Pay Per View (PPV) is brewing nicely. After an intense Monday Night RAW, where you saw Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker try to kill each other, this Smackdown had to get another rival brewing for the Summer Slam (SS) PPV. This particular SmackDown episode help to add to some potential showdowns for the upcoming PPV.

Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc.
5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

• Dean Ambrose VS Sheamus

1. RAW recap of Dean helping Roman Reigns against Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper
2. Sheamus calls Ambrose reckless and cowardly  
3. "You look stupid" chants
4. Ambrose says Sheamus looks stupid
5. Back and forth action
6. Sheamus targets still injured knee of Ambrose from a few months back
7. Just when Ambrose looked to get the upper hand, Bray and Harper comes out
8. Distracted Ambrose gets 2 kicks to the face
9. Sheamus gets a pin victory
10. 8 out of 10 for this match

Smackdown recap of matches between Stardust and Neville

Neville gets interviewed and Neville calls Stardust a coward for attacking him from behind.  Stardust appears on a TV behind them laughing

• Adam Rose VS Neville

1. Decent match
2. Decent pace
3. Nothing new introduced from Neville's arsenal
4. Neville gets a pin victory after the Red Arrow finisher 
5. Stardust appears on the Jumbotron and ask Neville to be his hero
6. 7 out of 10 for the match 

NXT Women's champion Sasha Banks has a montage shown of her

King Barrett comes to the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand and lets the WWE Universe know that he is the baddest king in WWE History.  He states that his crowning moment is yet to come.

• Kevin Owens VS Rusev with Summer Rae

1. Battleground PPV recap of Owens VS John Cena

4. Owens says he lives by the motto - "Live to fight another day"
5. Owens says he willingly tapped against Cena and willingly left Rusev in the match after odds were not in their favor to win the match

Cesaro is interviewed and says he sacrificed for his career and can't wait to fight Seth Rollins to further validate his sacrifices. Kevin Owens interrupts and says no one cares.  Cesaro says Owens new mantra should be "Run Owens Run."

• Naomi and Sasha Banks with Tamina (Team B.A.D.) VS Bella Twins with Alicia Fox

1. BG PPV Divas match recap
2. Good back and forth action
3. Good skill level shown from Team B.A.D. 
4. Entertaining match
5. Bella Twins get pin victory in a good match
6. 8 out of 10 for the match

RAW recap of Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker fight chaos

• World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins VS Cesaro 

1. RAW recap of Cena saying Rollins is a poor excuse for a champion
2. Great skill showcasing
3. Good action
4. Back and forth action
5. Rollins was getting beat up too much so he grabs his title and tries to leave the match
6. Cesaro pulls him in the ring and makes him drop the belt
7. Ref grabs the belt and brings it to the side so it will not interfere with the match
8. While ref is busy for that second, Rollins pokes Cesaro in the eyes and blinds him
9. Rollins gives Cesaro The Pedigree finisher
10. Rollins gets a pin victory
11. Owens comes to the ring and bust up Cesaro even more including a pop up powerbomb
12. 8 out of 10 for the match
