WRESTLING RECAP: Breaking down WWE SmackDown from 08/13/15

(www.PlaytimeCares.com) - Much anticipation is leading up to Summer Slam (SS) PPV. The WWE need to maintain excitement levels for this big PPV that is only 10 days away.  This particular SmackDown episode did not bring any new matches in the mix, but was a decent show.

Some things I still need to happen in the WWE Universe:

1. Bring back the Cruiser Weight Division
2. Make all the matches mean something to some sort of belt or rivalry.  
3. Show more of the roster.  You guys recycle the same talent too much.
4. You may wish to consider bringing the Diva's division full circle and have them with Tag Title belts, lightweight belts, etc.
5. The Tag Team Division is starting to look better than the singles division.  Get more people graduated from NXT and get that division showcased more.

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins comes to the ring

1. RAW recap of the match between Rollins and Randy Orton that ended up with Sheamus trying to cash in his Money in the Bank contract
2. Rollins claims that he is at the level of greatness comparable to the best in many other sports
3. Showed clip of "Tough Enough" clip where John Cena seemingly accepted the Champion VS Champion match at Summer Slam (SS)
4. Rollins challenged Cena to come accept the challenge face to face
5. Neville interrupts and comes to the ring
6. Neville lets Rollins know that his accomplishments are blighted because their was always some caveat that lead to him winning
7. Neville says that Rollins always talks on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on...
8. Cesaro interrupts and agrees with Neville that Rollins talks too much
9. Kevin Owens attacks Cesaro from behind
10. Rollins attacks Neville in the ring

• Charlotte with Becky Lynch VS Naomi with Sasha Banks and Tamina

1. RAW Recap of match between Team BAD VS Team Bella
2. Back and forth action
3. Naomi still not completely aggressive but looked a lot less playful
4. After a a big spill outside the ring by Team BAD, Charlotte takes control
5. Charlotte puts Naomi in the Figure 8
6. Charlotte wins via submission
7. 8 out of 10 for this match

RAW recap of "Arrow" star Stephen Amell getting sucked into the WWE Universe and ring when he attacks Stardust after being attacked and the subsequent match for SS between Stephen Amell & Neville VS Stardust and King Barrett

Ryback comes to the ring

1. RAW Recap of Ryback coming back and establishing his dominance
2. Ryback showed photos of him with a staph infection
3. "Feed me more" chants
4. Said the well wishes and positive energy of the WWE Universe caused him to get better quickly
5. Will be ready to take on The Miz and Big Show at SS

Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper comes to the ring and says they are ready for SS against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.  Dean Ambrose comes out and says that Roman Reigns will talk with his fist tonight.

• Luke Harper with Bray Wyatt VS Roman Reigns with Dean Ambrose

1. Roman Reigns starts off quickly
2. Harper gets the advantage and dominates for a long time
3. Back and forth action until Reigns gets the advantage
4. After a spear by Reigns, Wyatt comes in and attacks Reigns
5. Roman Reigns wins via DQ 
6. All 4 men fight outside the ring and until Wyatt and Harper are dumped into the crowd
7. 7 out of 10 for the match

Sheamus interviewed about him trying to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on RAW until Randy Orton interfered.  Sheamus says the WWE Universe deserves to be entertained, and Rollins and Orton are the same old thing. Sheamus says that he will be back Monday to kick a hole in Orton's chest.

• The New Day (Xavier Woods & Big E Langston) VS Tag Team Champions Prime Time Players

1. "New Day Suck" chants
2. New Day used the extra member, Kofi Kingston, to get an early advantage
3. Once Darren Young gets the advantage on The New Day, The New Day tries to leave
4. Lucha Dragon and Los Matadores blocks the exit and Xavier Woods is dragged back in the ring
5. Darren Young puts the gut check on Woods
6. Prime Time Players gets a pin victory
7. 8 out of 10 for the match

Recap of WWE Superstars thoughts on The Undertaker and his Wrestlemania streak being broken by Brock Lesnar, and the bad blood the ensued which lead to the SS match.

• Neville and Cesaro VS World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens

1. RAW recap of earlier attack of Cesaro and Neville by Rollins and Owens
2. Cesaro and Neville starts off strong
3. Owens gets the upper hand on Neville 
4. Back and forth action
5. Cesaro showcases his strength often
6. All competitors does high impact and high risk moves
7. "This is awesome" chants
8. Cesaro gets Rollins in the Sharp Shooter, but Owens interferes
9. While Cesaro fights off Owens, Rollins grabs a handful of tights of Cesaro
10. Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens gets a pin victory
11. Kevin Owens continues to attack Cesaro, but Cesaro gets the upper hand
12. Cesaro slams Owens in the corner, then Neville hits the Red Arrow finisher on him
13. 8 out of 10 for the match
