It's that time of the year again.
The time of year to whereas you are worried about if you will make a good enough impact with your Valentine's Day gift. You are worried because your honey wants the attention and thoughts of
"He truly was thinking of me!"
Most times, many of us guys bomb in the gift department and have her thinking
"What was he thinking?"
Well, how about a unique gift idea that she truly never saw coming?
It's traditional to give roses on Valentine's Day, but let's kick it up a notch. Why not giver her a cactus plant? I know what you are thinking, and yes, your person may be prickly, but your person is still cool to look at! Truly, that is the concept here!
This cactus is actually heart shaped. Take a look at this beauty.
Smooth, green and naturally heart shaped. You may even want to write in a card about the smoothness being similar to something on her, the green being something about her... and the heart shape being...well, you get the idea.
This plant is actually actually called the Hoya Kerrii which is a native of
south-east Asia. It is a small plant and because it is a cactus, does not need
watering and pampering that much.
Smaller than my thumbs up |
Now, there are a variety of the cacti species that DOES have spines on it!
I would venture to say that if for those of you that have a special person
in their life that is sometimes a handful to deal with!
That species is called Opuntia microdasys.

That does not look as inviting as the smooth, nude variety...and isn't
that what the day is about?
No?
My bad.
Ask for the heart shaped cactus and see if a local florist carries it.
A serious botanist may ask you the scientific name, Hoya Kerrii, but mentioning
the type and shape should suffice.
I seen a place on Amazon that has it, so click that hyperlink to search Amazon
for more providers. Keep in mind to pay attention to the rating of the person
sending you the goods because your may get your V Day gift by Halloween if
they are a bad vendor!
What do you think of this gift? Comment and let me know.
