(www.PlayTimeCares.com) - 1984.  No, not the ominous and well written story of George Orwell, but the year that a jewel was exposed to the planet.  That jewel was named "Terminator."  In this film, a very in shaped human looking cyborg was sent from the future to kill the mother of a rebel that will eventually end the cyborg rule on the planet earth in the future.  This film from all aspects, visual effects, story line, character portrayal, etc., was completely solid, and let to a great film and franchise.

Fast forward to 21 years later into the future, and the fifth film in the franchise is being released.  I was recently invited to an advanced screening of the newest jewel in the crown of this franchise, "Terminator Genisys" and many were visually excited to see this film.  Terminator Genisys is due in theaters on July 1, 2015 nationwide.

Terminator Terminator 2: Judgement Day Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Terminator Salvation

I refuse to truly give away any of the story line, but I must say this: YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS TERMINATOR, and make sure you stay after the credits to see 100% of the movie, and not only 99% of the movie.

All Terminators essentially have time travel intertwined in the story line.  What story line you thought you knew, is really put to the test.  If you look at the trailer for the movie, you will notice that Kyle Reese is still sent back by John Conner to save his mother Sarah Conner in the past.  You will also see right away in the trailer that this Sarah Conner is younger but a battle veteran despite her youth.  YOU HAVE TO SEE what they did with the story line for the Terminator series.

I will be the first to admit, many of the attempts at humor in the film fell flat for those hard on humor.  I also have to admit that the movie is visually stunning when seen in 3D.  I had the privileged to see it in IMAX as well, and the sound and vibrations from such an advanced system seem liked money well spent.

Overall, the crowd clapped once the movie ended, and no one said you should not see the movie.  The crowd was divided on if you should spend the money to see it IMAX style, but everyone agreed that you should spend the extra money to see this movie in at least 3D.
